Still going...

... crazy! But hey guess what, I'm still sane! So much has happened & life still throws crap but I'm alive & kicking much to your shame & I'm a poet that didn't know it. Err. I totally realise none of that makes sense but what does?! Right, I have me a new home to decorate! Decorating party at mine tonight at 7pm sharp. Bring a bottle (paint) so see you later!

Life is so hard

I'm currently in Gorleston with my kids. I love to be near the sea and I love just sitting there listening to the ocean, the gulls & the ships going about their business. Yet, life is unbearably hard at the moment and I can't find any joy in anything.
Never ever take those people you love for granted. Ever. I am in the position of never being able to take either of my parents for granted again & I don't wish it on anyone. My only wish is that bad things solely happened to bad people and not the good. Life is so unfair but somehow you have to find it within yourself to carry on & make the most of things.
My trip will probably be cut short & that is not an issue. I am, however, finding it hard to go back home and face reality. It is a hard job to keep sane and not scream & yell like a mad woman at the injustices of life. I need to be strong & I need to carry on because the alternative is far worse.
Enjoy your family and close ones, cherish them every day.

The Lodge Wildlife reserve

Had an excellent day walking round The Lodge yesterday, managed to get some stunning pictures. Love being outside in scenic surroundings. Sure beats being cooped up within four walls.

Leiston

Had the most amazing break at Abbey View Lodges in Leiston. It was just a bunch of lodges set on a site in the countryside. The views were amazing and you could see Leiston Abbey from our lodge. Of course we also checked that out! Was just a ten minute walk, if that, across a field and it was just beautiful to be out in the open.
Our lodge was the biggest one and had all the mod cons you could think off. It was decorated throughout beautifully and I even had my own ensuite!
Outside, in the garden, there was a beautiful bed of plants and flowers with a hot tub to the right of it. The tub was just awesome. Something we all put to good use more than once.
This place is expensive but I am determined to go back. Maybe not this year but definitely next year. It was so peaceful and relaxing.
It's obvious to me the family that run the park take great pride in their lodges and surroundings and it was an absolute pleasure to be there.
Driving round the area and beyond was amazing. A lot of it is track with nothing but fields and trees to each side of you and this was simply stunning. The views amazing. No congested traffic, no one tail gating you, no smog, just beautiful trees and shrubs.
I plan to move out there one day when my kids have all left school.
